A beautiful rock gorge that forms a deep water chasm underneath the stone bridge. The water is wonderful and clear, a popular place for wild swimming. If you look at the left top corner stone when coming over the bridge from the main Eskdale road you will see the flood marks where the water has risen to over the years. From the bridge Stanley Ghyll Waterfall is just a 30 minute walk from here.

  • Parking, it is best to park in Dalegarth station car park and walk to the bridge as the road is a dead-end & extremely narrow with no passing places.
